It also sits directly beside Bader Field, the former airfield long discussed for a major waterfront redevelopment, which gives the neighborhood a genuine long-term upside. Venice Park is the island's other detached-housing enclave — a small, tight-knit community bordered by the Beach Thorofare on three sides and the Penrose Canal on the fourth, known for bayfront and lagoon lots, yards, and a suburban feel a few minutes from the Boardwalk.
