Crossings Townhomes for Sale

Three-bedroom townhomes built in 1990 off Chews Landing Road — attached garages, fenced yards with decks, and no association fee. Live from the MLS.

Living in Crossings

Crossings is a townhome community in Lindenwold Borough, built in 1990 on a loop off Chews Landing Road — Crossing Way, Glenn Alpine Court and the courts branching off them, with woods along the eastern edge. It is the newest attached community in the borough by a wide margin. Everything else here went up in the early to mid seventies, which makes Crossings the better part of two decades younger than its competition and shows in the layout, the finishes and what comes standard.

The combination that defines this community is an attached garage with no association fee. Every unit here has a front-entry one-car garage with inside access and a concrete driveway in front of it, and the homes are fee simple with no monthly dues. In a borough where the attached market is almost entirely condominium or HOA-governed — and where the older townhome stock has no garages at all, just surface parking lots — that pairing barely exists anywhere else. It is the single most common reason buyers come to this community by name.

The plan is consistent: two stories, roughly 1,498 square feet, three bedrooms and two and a half baths. The main floor runs living room, dining room, eat-in kitchen, family room, a powder room and a first-floor laundry, with garage access from inside. Upstairs are three bedrooms including an owner's suite with a private full bath and an oversized closet, plus a second full bath. Some plans add a butler's pantry off the kitchen and a fireplace in the living room. Both interior-row and twin configurations trade here; the twins and end units carry windows on three sides.

Construction is aluminum siding under architectural shingle, on slab — there are no basements in this community, which is worth knowing since the garage and the first-floor laundry cover much of what a basement would otherwise do. Natural gas forced air, central air, public water and public sewer. Rear yards are fenced and most carry a deck, which is real private outdoor space rather than a shared common area.

Trading here has been competitive. Units routinely draw multiple offers with best-and-final deadlines, and updated ones move quickly — new flooring, renovated baths and refreshed kitchens are common, since owners have had thirty-five years to put money into them. Several have had major work done within the last decade.

Everything in Crossings is served by Lindenwold Borough Public Schools, with the high school being Lindenwold High School on Egg Harbor Road. You may see listings in this community showing a Clementon city line or naming Overbrook as the high school — both are wrong. This community sits in Lindenwold Borough and has since it was built, and Lindenwold has run its own high school since 2001. Chews Landing Road and Blackwood-Clementon Road put shopping and Route 42 minutes away, with the PATCO terminus in the borough for the Philadelphia commute.

If the no-fee structure is what brings you here, Lindentowne is the borough's other fee simple townhome community — older, larger inside, no garage, and priced well below this. If you would rather the exterior be somebody else's problem, Georgetown sits directly across Chews Landing Road with a pool and tennis in the fee. For where these have been closing, see recently sold homes.

Garage. No Fee.

That combination is rare.
