Georgetown Condos for Sale
Two-story condominiums built in 1973 off Chews Landing Road — pool, tennis and clubhouse in the fee, patios and sheds out back. Live from the MLS.
Living in Georgetown
Georgetown is a condominium community in Lindenwold Borough, built in 1973 on a loop of streets off Chews Landing Road — Georgetown Road, Chiswick Drive, Dover Drive, Glenwood Drive and Regency Drive. It is one of the largest attached communities in the borough and one of the most consistently active, with units trading throughout the year rather than in occasional clusters. The layout is the surface-parking cluster plan of its era: rows angled around interior lots rather than lined along a through street, with mature landscaping filling in the space between.
There are essentially two floor plans here, and knowing which one you are looking at matters more than anything else on the listing. The larger runs about 1,267 square feet across two stories — two bedrooms upstairs, a full bath up and a powder room down, living and dining on the main floor, and second-floor laundry. The smaller runs about 1,110 square feet and is often written up as a ranch or rambler style, with a different bath configuration, and some of these list as three bedrooms. Same community, same year, meaningfully different homes. Both are interior-row and end-of-row; the end units carry windows on three sides and are worth waiting for.
Construction is frame on a slab — no basements, no garages, parking in the lots. Central air throughout, public water and public sewer. Heating fuel varies by unit between natural gas and electric, which is not cosmetic: it shows up in the monthly bills, so check that line on any unit you are serious about. Many units have a fenced rear patio and a storage shed, and interiors have been renovated one at a time over the years, so finishes range widely from original to fully updated.
The association covers the grounds and lawn care, exterior building maintenance, snow removal and trash, and carries real amenities for a community at this price — a swimming pool, tennis courts and a clubhouse, with the pool recently redone. That fee is the trade-off with Lindentowne on the other side of the borough, where the townhomes are fee simple with no association at all and the maintenance is entirely yours. Neither is better; they suit different buyers, and it is worth knowing both exist before you commit to one.
The eastern edge of the community backs to woods rather than to other buildings, and units on that side list with tree views. It is the most requested position here and the one that holds value best within the community.
Chews Landing Road and Blackwood-Clementon Road put shopping and Route 42 within a few minutes, and the PATCO line runs through Lindenwold for anyone commuting to Philadelphia. Homes here are served by Lindenwold Borough Public Schools, and the high school is Lindenwold High School on Egg Harbor Road. You will see listings in this community that name Overbrook instead — that is outdated. Lindenwold sent its students to Overbrook before opening its own high school in 2001, and the old assignment still gets copied forward onto listing sheets more than two decades later. For the rest of the borough's attached market see Lindenwold condos and townhomes, and see recently sold homes for where these have been landing.
The Fee Covers It.
