PENNSAUKEN NJ

Twins, Condos & Townhomes for Sale in Pennsauken NJ

Prewar twins, established condo communities, and new construction at Haddon Point — every attached home in Pennsauken. Live from the MLS.

Attached Home Living in Pennsauken

Attached housing in Pennsauken is not one market. It is three, and they share a search results page while having almost nothing else in common. A 1928 twin in Delair and a 2022 townhome at Haddon Point are both "attached homes in Pennsauken," and they are separated by nearly a century, roughly two hundred thousand dollars, and an entirely different idea of what owning a home involves. Sorting out which one you are actually shopping is the most useful thing you can do before you start.

The twins and row homes are the bulk of it. These run from the 1880s through the 1950s and fill the township's oldest neighborhoods — Delair, Delaware Gardens, Collins Tract, Admiral Park, Browning Manor, Penn Hills and Hillcrest, along with the blocks near the Merchantville and Camden borders. Three bedrooms is standard, sometimes four, generally between 1,000 and 1,900 square feet, with Colonials, Straight Thrus, Side-by-Sides and the occasional Victorian or AirLite in the mix. Nearly all of them have basements, and nearly none have a garage or an association. You own the house and the ground, there is no monthly fee, and everything from the roof to the sidewalk is yours. This is the most affordable way into the township by a wide margin, and it is where most of the volume is.

The trade with that stock is age. Houses built between the wars need what houses that old need — roofs, systems, wiring, plaster — and condition varies enormously from block to block and house to house. That variation is the price spread, and it is why an inspection matters more here than anywhere else on this page.

The condominium communities are the second market, and they sit mostly on the Route 73 side of the township. Avignon off Avignon Way dates to 1984 and is the largest of them, running one and two bedroom flats and a handful of end-of-row units. The Maples and Maple Commons on Maple Avenue were built in the 2000s and are the newest condos here — and worth knowing about specifically, because part of that inventory is age-restricted, so confirm the restriction on any unit before you get attached to it. Schoolhouse Commons on Union Avenue and Fairways on Fairway Boulevard round out the group. All of these carry a monthly fee that covers the exterior, and none of them have basements. What you are buying is the opposite trade from the twins: less space and a monthly charge, in exchange for never touching a ladder.

The Townes at Haddon Point is the third, and it is unlike anything else in the township. Built from 2020 onward off Hamilton Court and Kohlmyer Drive, these are three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath townhomes running from roughly 1,700 to well over 2,200 square feet, with attached garages and a modest association fee. They trade at the top of Pennsauken's attached market by a considerable margin, and they are the only genuinely new construction in it. For a buyer who wants a new house with a warranty and a garage but wants to stay in a township with this location, there is no alternative here.

What ties all three together is why people buy in Pennsauken at all. Routes 130, 73 and 90 run through the township, the Betsy Ross Bridge puts Philadelphia minutes away, and the Delaware River sits on one side with Cooper River Park on the other. Everything here is served by Pennsauken Public Schools through Pennsauken High School, the township's own rather than a regional. Inventory across all three segments moves steadily, so watching just-listed homes beats waiting, and recently sold homes is the honest way to calibrate what condition is worth in a market this varied.

If none of the three is quite right, the neighbors carry different versions of the same thing — Merchantville next door, Collingswood for early-century twins in a walkable borough, and Cherry Hill for a deeper condominium market. Everything currently for sale in Pennsauken is above, straight from the MLS.
