Versailles Townhomes for Sale

Three-bedroom garage townhomes off Marlkress Road in Cherry Hill's 08003 — live from the MLS.

Living in Versailles

Versailles sits in the 08003 section of Cherry Hill Township, on the east side of Marlkress Road with a wooded tree line along its back edge. Every address here is Versailles Boulevard — one street, running the length of the community in a series of connected rows, with the trees and a creek line closing off the rear rather than another development. Records carry a Trees/Woods view, and on this layout that is literal: the back rows look at the tree line, not at each other.

The community was built in 1995 and 1996, which makes it late by Cherry Hill standards. The township was substantially finished by then, so most of what you tour here competes against attached housing twenty and thirty years older. The standard unit is a three-bedroom with two full baths and a powder room, running a little over two thousand square feet above grade — sizable for a townhome, and closer to a small single-family footprint than to the compact 1970s plans elsewhere in the township. Styles read Colonial, Traditional and Contemporary across the records, all two-story.

Two features separate Versailles from most of Cherry Hill's attached inventory. These units have attached garages with driveway parking — front entry, room for two more cars outside — which is simply absent from the older townhouse and condominium communities. And the lots are real: roughly a tenth of an acre on dimensions in the neighborhood of thirty-four by ninety-eight feet, held fee simple with a homeowners association rather than as a condominium interest. You own the ground. One thing that does vary address to address is what is underneath — some units have full basements, others sit on slab, so confirm it on the specific unit rather than assuming.

The association is professionally managed and the monthly fee covers common area maintenance, lawn maintenance and snow removal. There is no separate recreation fee and no community pool here — the fee is doing maintenance work, not amenity work, which is part of why it sits low for the size of the homes. Buyers who want a pool on site are generally looking at a different kind of community entirely; buyers who want the exterior handled without paying for a clubhouse they will not use tend to prefer this structure.

Schools are Cherry Hill Township Public Schools, and the chain here is clean and worth knowing before you tour: Cherry Hill High School East, Henry C. Beck Middle School, and James Johnson Elementary. East-or-West is the first question asked about any Cherry Hill address and elementary boundaries are not published in any useful form, so that is the sort of thing normally settled only after an offer. For comparison shopping, Kressonshire and Ravenswood are the nearby 08003 detached options at a similar level, and the decision usually comes down to whether you want a yard to maintain. Marlkress Road connects straight to Route 70 and the 295 and Route 73 interchanges, with the Philadelphia bridges a straightforward run from there. The recently sold homes across Cherry Hill are the clearest read on where this tier settles.
