Detached four-bedroom houses wrapping the country club in Cherry Hill's 08003 — live from the MLS.
Woodcrest is one of the largest detached neighborhoods in the 08003 section of Cherry Hill Township, north and east of Haddonfield-Berlin Road. It takes its name from Woodcrest Country Club, whose fairways form the neighborhood's southern and western boundary — the streets wrap the course, and the lots along Country Club Drive back directly onto it. That is the organizing fact here, and it is the reason this pocket has held its position in the township for sixty years.
The street grid is deep: Country Club Drive, Tearose Lane, Fireside Lane, Larkspur Road, Garwood Drive, Morris Drive, Rolling Lane, Balsam Road, Queen Anne Road, Dogwood Drive, Doral Drive, Gatewood Road, Barby Lane, Cranford Road, Russet Drive, Dewberry Lane and Cypress Lane, among others. A handful of streets on the northern edge — Bobwhite, Blue Jay and Heartwood in particular — run long enough to carry addresses entered under both Woodcrest and neighboring Willowdale, so if you are searching by street rather than by neighborhood you will get an unreliable picture. There is also a Rue Du Bois down at the course edge, which the MLS sometimes truncates.
Construction ran from the late fifties through the seventies, with the bulk of it landing in the mid and late sixties. The dominant house is a four-bedroom with two and a half baths, running roughly twenty-one hundred to twenty-nine hundred square feet — consistently larger than the 08002 neighborhoods on the other side of the township, and large enough that five-bedroom versions and houses above three thousand square feet turn up regularly. Colonial is the prevailing form by a wide margin, with Split Level, Traditional, Contemporary, Ranch/Rambler, Tudor and Mid-Century Modern all present across the longer build period. Basements and garages are close to universal.
These are detached fee simple houses on their own lots with no homeowners association — no fee, no architectural review, nothing shared. Membership at the country club is separate and entirely optional; living here does not involve it, and the club is a neighbor rather than an amenity you are paying into. Lots run generous with mature tree cover at this age, and pools are common; the township's pool home searches will show which are currently listed.
Schools are Cherry Hill Township Public Schools, and the records here name Cherry Hill High School East throughout. East-or-West is the first question asked about any Cherry Hill address and across much of the township it has to be checked address by address — Woodcrest is one of the places where it does not. For buyers comparing nearby, Kressonshire and Ravenswood sit east off Kresson Road at a similar level, and Fox Hollow is the other established option in this corner of 08003. Haddonfield-Berlin Road runs along the western edge toward Route 70 and up to the Route 73 interchange. The recently sold homes across Cherry Hill are the clearest read on where this tier actually settles.
