Wood Hill Homes for Sale
1990s colonials on West Annapolis Drive and Edgewater Court — cul-de-sac lots, two-car garages, and Lake George close by. Live from the MLS.
Living in Wood Hill
Wood Hill is a detached neighborhood in Gloucester Township built in 1994 and 1995, on West Annapolis Drive and Edgewater Court off Williamstown-Erial Road. It is a small community and it does not turn over often, which is the first thing to know: what comes up here is a handful of houses a year rather than a steady stream, and buyers who want in generally have to be watching rather than shopping.
The houses are mid-1990s two-story colonials and traditionals, three and four bedrooms with two and a half baths, and they carry the full specification of the period rather than a stripped version of it. Formal living room and separate dining room, a family room off the kitchen, two-car garages, partially finished basements, main-floor laundry, in-ground sprinkler systems, sidewalks and street lights. Natural gas forced air, central air, public water and public sewer.
Two features show up here more than they should for the era. Enclosed three-season rooms with vaulted ceilings opening onto rear decks, and primary suites with vaulted ceilings, a separate dressing area and two closets — a layout that was a genuine upgrade in 1995 and is still what people want. Fenced yards with above-ground pools and decks are common. The cul-de-sac lots are the ones to ask for; they get the wider rear yard and no passing traffic at all.
The setting is the community's quiet advantage. Wood Hill sits close to Lake George, with Edgewater Court running toward it, and the neighborhood is edged by woods on more than one side. That gives it a more enclosed feel than the open subdivisions on the other end of the township, and it is why these houses hold their position in the market despite the community being small enough that most people have never heard of it.
For comparisons, Twin Streams was built in the same years at a similar specification with more inventory, and Mayfair Woods covers the same four-bedroom format on the other side of the township. Buyers who want the small-community feel with larger houses should also look at Raintree.
A note on the address: mail here goes out as Sicklerville 08081, and Sicklerville is a post office, not a municipality. Wood Hill is in Gloucester Township, on Gloucester Township taxes and services. See Gloucester Township 08081 for the rest of this end of the township, and the recently sold homes for where these are landing.
Lake George Is Close.
Edgewater Court runs toward it.
