Timber Hills Homes for Sale
Large 1960s homes in Washington Township — explore the latest live from the MLS.
Living in Timber Hills
Timber Hills went up in 1968 — all of it, in a single year — in Washington Township, on Timber Hill Drive and Bridge Drive, with frontage along Bells Lake Road. Colonials throughout, with garages and full basements on every home. Public water and public sewer.
The houses are the reason to know this address. Five bedrooms is a real presence here, not an outlier — half the recent sales carry five, and one of those has three full baths. For a 1968 build that is genuinely unusual in this township. Greenwood Park, built the same year a few minutes away, tops out at four bedrooms. If you want the room count without paying for a newer house, this is one of the few 1960s addresses here that delivers it.
The land holds up too. Lots run from about a quarter acre to a third, which is better ground than the large 1960s neighborhoods nearby — Bells Lake sits at a uniform fifth of an acre, and the Birches varies wildly. Timber Hills is consistent and generous for its era.
One item to verify on the specific address: at least one home here is on a private sewer arrangement rather than the public system serving the rest. In a community this small that is worth a direct question rather than an assumption from the neighbors.
This is a small neighborhood and very little comes up in a given year. Schools are Washington Township for the entire township, which means Washington Township High School — one district throughout, so there is no sending-district question here. The recently sold homes across the township are the best read on where this end of the market sits.
