Green Meadows Homes for Sale
An established 1970s community in Monroe Township — explore the latest from the MLS.
Living in Green Meadows
Green Meadows was built almost entirely in 1970 in Williamstown, Monroe Township, on Princeton Place, Oxford Place, Harvard Place, Ward Lane, Ireland Terrace, Gordon Avenue and Ettore Drive. Three and four bedrooms, one to two and a half baths, roughly quarter-acre lots, public water and sewer. Basements are uncommon here and garages come and go from one home to the next.
The thing that separates Green Meadows from its contemporaries is the range of house styles inside a single build year. Bi-levels, split levels, colonials, raised ranches and ranch/ramblers all sit here together, sometimes on the same block. Most communities of this vintage — Chelsea Farms leans bi-level, Coventry Glen leans ranch — settled on one or two plans. This builder offered a much wider catalog.
Which means the community name tells you less here than it usually does. Two Green Meadows homes built the same year can be entirely different houses — different footprint, different number of levels, one with a garage and one without. The style field and the square footage matter more than the address does. For the township’s largest community of the same era, Forest Hills is the one to compare against.
