Chelsea Farms Homes for Sale

An established Monroe Township neighborhood — explore the latest from the MLS.

Living in Chelsea Farms

Chelsea Farms went up between 1969 and 1973 in Williamstown, Monroe Township, with most of it finished in 1970. The streets are Wright Loop, Frederick Street, Gilbert Court and Albertus Drive, and it has the settled feel of a neighborhood that has had more than fifty years to fill in.

The housing is of its era and specific about it: bi-levels dominate Chelsea Farms, with colonials and traditionals filling out the rest. That is worth knowing because a bi-level is a particular kind of house — the lower level is finished living space rather than a basement, which is why you will not find basements listed here. Three and four bedrooms is the range, and attached garages are on some homes but not all.

The land holds up better than the price suggests. Lots here run from a quarter acre to well past four-tenths, which is more ground than most of Williamstown’s newer subdivisions offer, and everything is on public water and sewer. For a similar era elsewhere in the township, Colonial Estates and Green Meadows are the closest comparisons, and the Williamstown page covers the whole township.

Most of It Went Up in 1970.

Settled ever since.
