Living in White Pines

White Pines is one of the smallest named communities in Winslow Township — a single cul-de-sac, Christmas Tree Court, running off South Grove Street in the Cedarbrook end of the township. The houses went up in 2007 and 2008, which makes this one of the later single-family builds in Winslow, and there are only a couple dozen of them.

The homes are detached colonials, three and four bedrooms with two and a half baths, on lots running about a third of an acre — and the lots are the point. White Pines was built into open ground with farmland on three sides, so the back yards here look out at fields rather than at another elevation twenty feet away. That is a rarer thing in this township than the square footage or the finish level, and it is not something a later builder can add.

Everything is on public sewer, and the community feeds Winslow Township Public Schools. Because it is one short street, listings here are infrequent — there is no steady flow of inventory the way there is in the larger Sicklerville communities. If you are looking at this end of the township, White Cedars is the larger mid-2000s neighborhood nearby, Sherry Lyn Woods sits in the same Cedarbrook section, and Cedarbrook covers the whole area.
