Large 1970 houses on wooded lots between Cardinal Lake Drive and Springdale Road — live from the MLS.
Timber Cove sits in the 08003 section of Cherry Hill Township, west of Springdale Road in the wooded stretch between Kresson Road and the Turnpike corridor. The streets include Cardinal Lake Drive, Charlann Circle, Cardinal Lane, Andrew Lane, West Point Drive, Concord Lane, Ticonderoga Lane, Dell Drive, Southwood Drive, Owl Lane, Swallow Drive and Willowdale Drive. Detached houses on their own lots, no association, laid out on long curves with heavy tree cover and a pond inside the neighborhood.
Two street themes run through here and they do not quite agree with each other. One set is birds and water — Cardinal, Swallow, Owl, Heron, Seagull, Eagle, Crane, Robin Lake. The other is the Revolution: Ticonderoga, Concord, Annapolis, Independence, Liberty Bell. Whoever platted this ground was working through two lists at once, which is its own kind of period detail.
The housing is 1970 and it was built at a scale most of the township's mid-century stock never reached. Four and five bedrooms, bath counts from two-and-a-half up to three-and-a-half, and square footage running from roughly 2,900 to 4,000 — Colonial and Split Level forms, on wide wooded lots. The top of Timber Cove clears anything else of its vintage in Cherry Hill and competes directly with the nineties neighborhoods on size, which is unusual for a house pushing sixty years old.
That puts it in a specific spot in the market. If you want serious square footage in this township and do not want to pay nineties prices for it, Timber Cove is the answer — the closest comparisons are Olde Springs and Kressonshire, both also wooded, both also large, both also seventies or earlier. Siena and Short Hills are where the same buyer goes for newer construction at a premium. The larger-acreage listings across the township are the widest version of this search, and several lots here carry pools that the pool home searches will surface.
The setting is the other half of it. There is a genuine pond inside the neighborhood off West Point Drive, with a second smaller one nearby, and the wooded band on the western side means a good share of these lots back onto trees rather than onto other houses. In a township this built out, that kind of separation is not something you can add later.
Schools are Cherry Hill Township Public Schools, and the listings here carry Cherry Hill High School East. One naming caution: Cardinal Lake Drive and Cardinal Lane are two different streets inside this neighborhood, and Lark Lane at the southeastern edge belongs to Kressonshire rather than here — confirm the subdivision on any address in that corner rather than reading it off the road. Springdale Road runs you north to Kresson and the Route 70 corridor, with the Route 73 interchange and Marlton a few minutes beyond. The recently sold homes across Cherry Hill are the clearest read on where this tier actually settles.
Cardinal. Swallow. Owl.
Birds all the way down.
