Lost Tree Homes for Sale

Large custom homes on wooded half-acre lots along the oak streets — live from the MLS.

Living in Lost Tree

Lost Tree is a large-lot detached neighborhood in the northern half of Voorhees Township, west of Cooper Road and north of Centennial Boulevard. It was built over a long window — from the late 1970s through the mid-1990s — which is why no two streets here look quite alike, and why the housing runs from four-bedroom colonials to sprawling custom contemporaries.

The street names are the giveaway. Holly Oak, Red Oak, East Red Oak, Oak Ridge, Oak Hollow and Shingle Oak — every road in the core of the neighborhood is an oak, with Pinecone, Evergreen and Fir picking up at the edges. Shingle oak is an actual species, not a decorative name, so whoever platted this knew what they were doing. The naming matches the ground: this is one of the most heavily wooded neighborhoods in the township, and the tree cover is original growth left standing rather than landscaping put back afterward.

These are the largest houses in Voorhees. Lost Tree runs roughly 2,700 to over 4,200 square feet on lots close to half an acre, and five bedrooms with four full baths is a normal configuration here, not an outlier — alongside three-car side-entry garages, circular driveways, and parking for the better part of a dozen cars. The interiors follow: two-story center halls, dramatic staircases to upper landings that separate the owner's suite from the other bedrooms, double-sided fireplaces, butler's pantries, skylit breakfast rooms, and full walk-out basements finished into second offices, gyms, theater rooms and additional bedroom suites. Rear decks look out over mature trees rather than a neighbor's siding.

This is not a production tract and it does not behave like one. Houses here were built to individual specifications across two decades, so condition, updating and layout vary far more from address to address than they do in a neighborhood built in a single push. Two Lost Tree homes of the same square footage can be genuinely different buys. Anyone shopping this tier should also see Beagle Club, which backs the Cooper River woods on the other side of the township, and Sturbridge Lakes — plus the township's homes on an acre or more for buyers who want still more land.

Schools are Voorhees Township for elementary and middle — Lost Tree listings name E.T. Hamilton Elementary — then Eastern Regional High School through the Eastern Camden County Regional district. Centennial Boulevard and Cooper Road reach Route 73 quickly, with Virtua Voorhees, Voorhees Town Center and the fitness and medical cluster all a short drive. Houses of this size do not list often, and the good ones are usually spoken for before they are widely shopped. The recently sold homes across Voorhees are the clearest read on what this end of the market actually does.

Half an Acre Is Standard.

So are four plus bedrooms.
