Partridge Run sits in the eastern half of Voorhees Township, off Kresson Road and Brookstone Drive, and was built almost entirely between 1979 and 1984. Its addresses run along Partridge Drive, Brambling Lane, Osprey Lane, Heron Court, Flamingo Court, Redwood Court, Sequoia Court and Brookstone Drive.

The naming is the thing you notice, and it goes further than the community itself. Partridge, Brambling, Osprey, Heron, Flamingo, Sandpiper, Cormorant, Peregrine, Kestrel, Goshawk, Warbler, Oriole, Jacamar — the streets here and across the blocks around them are named for birds, more than a dozen of them, and Partridge Run sits at the center of it. Jacamar is not a name anyone picks by accident; it is a South American bird, which tells you somebody at the drafting table was working from a field guide rather than a list of pleasant-sounding words. The North Branch of the Cooper River runs along the eastern edge of this section, and the wooded corridor beside it is part of why the naming fits the place.

What a buyer most needs to know here is that Partridge Run is not one kind of house. The community carries detached homes, twins and end-of-row units under a single name, and the sizes run from about 1,200 square feet up to well over 4,000. Styles include colonials, bi-levels, side-by-side twins and contemporaries, with three and four bedrooms standard and bath counts ranging from one and a half to four. Two listings can both say Partridge Run and be entirely different properties at entirely different prices — which makes this one of the more useful communities in the township to have someone sort through with you.

That range is also the community's real strength. It means Partridge Run serves a first-time buyer looking at a twin and a family that needs four bedrooms and a yard, in the same neighborhood, feeding the same schools. Lot sizes run from roughly a tenth of an acre on the attached side to better than half an acre on the largest detached parcels, and in-ground pools, extensive hardscape and irrigation turn up on the bigger lots. One search note: the community appears in listing data under both "Partridge Run" and the misspelling "Patridge Run," so a search on the correct spelling alone can miss homes. Everything reaches this page either way.

Schools are Voorhees Township for elementary and middle, then Eastern Regional High School through the Eastern Camden County Regional district. Kresson Road connects west toward Voorhees Town Center and east toward Route 73, with Philadelphia and the shore points both a straightforward run. Buyers looking at this end of the market should also see everything in Voorhees under $400K and Alluvium, and the recently sold homes across the township show how far apart the two ends of this community actually trade.
