Richwood Crossing Homes for Sale
Three-story townhomes and large detached homes off Ellis Mill Road in Glassboro. Live from the MLS.
Living in Richwood Crossing
Richwood Crossing sits at the eastern edge of Glassboro, where Richwood Aura Road meets Ellis Mill Road and Route 55 runs just past the treeline. Wistar Place, Foster Drive, Wescott Lane, Merlin Lane, Salter Court, North Palace Drive, Munyon Drive, Aura Road and Defrancesco Circle make up the street plan, wrapping around a pond on the western side with Clems Run and open farmland beyond it. It is the last thing in the borough before the fields start, and the highway access is as good as anywhere in Glassboro.
This is the top of the borough's market, and it holds two quite different products. The townhomes went up around 2011 along Wistar Place, Salter Court, Aura Road and Munyon Drive — three bedrooms, two full baths and a powder room, right at nineteen hundred square feet, with stone and vinyl exteriors, open floor plans, kitchen islands, hardwood, and two-car garages entered from the rear. The detached homes on Defrancesco Circle and Wistar Place are considerably larger, running from around twenty-five hundred square feet up past three thousand at three, four and as many as six bedrooms. Those are the biggest houses in this part of the borough.
One detail matters more than anything else on this page if you are looking at a townhome here: these are three-story homes with no basement. The ground level is the garage and entry, and the living space sits above it. That layout buys you a two-car garage and nineteen hundred square feet on a compact lot, and it means stairs are part of daily life — groceries go up, laundry is on the bedroom level. For a young family that is a fair trade. For a buyer thinking about the next twenty years it is the thing to sort out before anything else, and it is the opposite of what Olde Orchard offers with its two-story rows over finished basements.
The amenities are the deepest in Glassboro and they are a real part of what you are buying: tennis courts, basketball courts, a sport court, tot lots and playgrounds, with sidewalks and street lights throughout. No other community in the borough carries that package. The association covers lawn care, snow removal and common area maintenance, though what is included varies between sections here — and there is a one-time contribution due at closing on top of the monthly. Both are worth pinning down for the specific address early, because they affect what you bring to the table and what you pay every month after.
Against the rest of the borough's attached inventory, Richwood Crossing and High Street Estates are the two at the top, and they are the natural comparison — High Street is a decade newer and smaller at fourteen hundred square feet on two levels, Richwood is larger with far more community amenity. Below them, Hidden Creek mixes rows, twins and detached singles, and Doubletree brings basements. If it is the larger detached homes here that interest you, the borough-wide four-bedroom search will show you what else is competing at that size.
Homes here are served by Glassboro Public Schools. Ellis Mill Road runs east toward Harrison Township and Mullica Hill, Route 55 is immediately at hand for Philadelphia one direction and the shore the other, and Rowan University and the Rowan Boulevard downtown are a few minutes west. This is one of the more active communities in the borough on both sides of its market, so watching the newest listings tends to be more productive than waiting on a particular street. For where these have been landing, see recently sold homes.
Tennis and Tot Lots.
Nothing else here has both.
