1900 Boardwalk sits exactly where its name says, at 19th Avenue and the Boardwalk, and it draws more search interest than any address in town. It is a ten-story building of roughly 80 units, and locals will tell you the real reason to want it: 19th Street is the northern terminus of the Wildwood Boardwalk. You get immediate access to the boards and the beach, but the amusement piers do not start until closer to 25th, so you are not living under the lights and the noise. Close to the action, out of the chaos — that is the whole proposition.

Regency Towers at 500 E 20th Avenue sits one block south and is a much larger oceanfront high-rise, around 172 units, known for an elevated pool deck with completely unobstructed ocean views. One practical thing to ask about rather than assume: many of the original floor plans here were built without in-unit laundry, with communal washers and dryers on each floor instead. Plenty of owners have never minded and some units have been changed — but find out what a specific unit actually has before you fall for the view.

Mali Kai at 417 E 19th Avenue is the family building, and it earns that description. It is a true beach-block position — you cross no main street to reach the boards and the sand — and the units are mostly one-bedroom, one-bath layouts designed to sleep about six. The shared spaces are the draw: a heated adult pool, a separate children's pool, and a third-floor sun deck with gas grills and outdoor dining, so families come off the beach straight into a poolside cookout. It runs heavily as a seasonal and weekly rental, which is worth knowing in both directions depending on whether that is your plan or your neighbor's. The bay side of town is a completely different world.

Seaboard Point on Bayview Drive is the quiet money in North Wildwood. It occupies nineteen secluded acres at the northernmost tip of the island in Anglesea, surrounded by protected wetlands, and it functions more like a private resort than a condo building — tennis courts, a billiards room, a clubhouse and a large pool. The views run across Hereford Inlet straight at Stone Harbor. It also keeps strict rental rules, often requiring multi-month or seasonal leases, which deliberately keeps the weekly-vacationer traffic out. If privacy is what you are buying, this is the address.

Promenade at 222 W 3rd Avenue is the one whose name misleads people, so let us be plain: it is not on the boardwalk and not on the beach. It is a bayfront community in the Anglesea section, and it is the boater's building in this town. Every owner gets a private assigned boat slip. There is a private wooden boardwalk along the water, a large pool deck overlooking the bay, and something genuinely rare on a barrier island — real lawns, sprawling green grass. For sunset watching and stepping straight onto a boat, nothing else in North Wildwood is close.

What separates two units that photograph identically is almost never the unit. It is the fee, what the fee covers, and how honestly the reserves are funded. Whether roof, siding and master insurance sit with you or with the association will move your real monthly number more than the purchase price does, and on a barrier island flood coverage and elevation belong in the same conversation. On this island there is a rental question stacked on top: the Wildwoods carry one of the strongest summer rental markets on the coast, and what a building permits varies enormously — from Mali Kai running weekly turnover to Seaboard Point requiring seasonal leases. That single rule can make or break your plan, so ask it early.

The town itself is why people stay. North Wildwood anchors the northern end of Five Mile Beach where the island meets Hereford Inlet, and the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse still looks out over the water. There is a seawall promenade along the bay, and the beaches are wide and free — no badges, no tags, which almost nowhere else on the Jersey Shore can say. The north end historically went by Anglesea, the old fishing village that grew into the borough; the name still turns up in listings and in how locals talk, though it is all one municipality today.
