Twin Ponds Homes for Sale
An established late-1980s community in Washington Township — explore the latest live from the MLS.
Living in Twin Ponds
Twin Ponds was built between 1986 and 1988 in Washington Township, on the Sewell side, along Twin Ponds Drive and Michele Court. Four bedrooms is the standard, with a five-bedroom in the mix, two to three baths, and colonials without exception — one of the few communities in this township where the style is genuinely uniform.
The lots are consistent at right around three tenths of an acre, which is solid ground for a planned community of this era here — more than the 1970s neighborhoods and less than the estate-lot addresses. Combined with the single style and the tight build window, that makes Twin Ponds unusually easy to compare within: what separates two listings is condition and layout, not vintage or land.
Two features to confirm rather than assume. Garages and basements are on most homes here but not all of them, and they do not travel together — there is at least one home without a garage and at least one without a basement. In a community this consistent otherwise, those are easy to take for granted.
Worth knowing on the search side: the township also has a separate community called Twin Ponds East. Same name, different neighborhood — a search on the name alone returns both.
Schools are Washington Township for the entire township, which means Washington Township High School — one district throughout, so there is no sending-district question here. Peppertree and Colts Neck are the other 1980s communities on this side of the township. The recently sold homes are the best read on where this end of the market sits.
Nice Neighborhood. Which One?
Around here that's a real question.
