Wedgewood Forest Homes for Sale
1980s colonials with garages and basements — explore the latest live from the MLS.
Living in Wedgewood Forest
Wedgewood Forest was built from 1980 into the early 1990s in Washington Township, mostly on the Sewell side. The streets are Goodwin Parkway, Michael Terrace, Timothy Terrace, Joann Court, Elizabeth Court, John Drive and Wilson Road — first names, which is its own kind of signature in a township where the other developments went with horses, stars and English villages. Three and four bedrooms, two to three baths, colonials with traditionals and contemporaries mixed in.
The build standard is the thing that matters. Garages and full basements are on nearly every home here — which puts Wedgewood Forest alongside Wedgewood Farms and clearly apart from plain Wedgewood, the large neighborhood they share a name with, where basements are almost entirely absent. Same name root, different product, different price.
The lots run consistently at around a quarter acre, without the wide unpredictable spread that makes Wedgewood proper hard to compare within. Combined with a fairly uniform style mix, that makes this an easy community to price: condition and size do the work, not the parcel.
The build window is worth noting though — homes here span roughly a decade, so a 1980 colonial and a 1992 one on the same street are twelve years apart in systems and finish. That is the variable to check rather than the land.
Most of the community carries a Sewell 08080 mailing address, though at least one home comes up as Turnersville 08012. The municipality is Washington Township either way. Note too that the township has four communities with Wedgewood in the name — this one, Wedgewood, Wedgewood Farms and Wedgewood Greens — and a search on the name alone returns all of them.
Schools are Washington Township throughout, which means Washington Township High School — one district for the whole township, so there is no sending-district question here. The recently sold homes are the best read on where this end of the market sits.
