Chestnut Green Homes for Sale
Larger colonials in Monroe Township — explore the latest from the MLS.
Living in Chestnut Green
Chestnut Green was built in a tight window — 2003 to 2005 — in Williamstown, Monroe Township, along Ironwood Drive, Sherwood Drive, Maidstone Drive and Wagner Court. Three years start to finish means the community is consistent in age and finish in a way that longer-running developments are not.
The homes are substantial: four and five bedrooms, full basements and attached garages on every one, two-and-a-half baths as the standard with larger plans in the mix. Colonials dominate, with traditionals and a contemporary alongside. Lots run right around a quarter acre, and everything is on public water and sewer. Recent sales place Chestnut Green in the upper tier of the Williamstown market.
The comparison worth making is with Candlewood, which went up at essentially the same moment and offers the same four-bedroom colonial with a basement and garage. The difference is the land — Candlewood sits on about a third of an acre against Chestnut Green’s quarter — and it shows in what each one trades for. If the extra ground matters more than the money, that is the direction to look; if it does not, Chestnut Green gives you the same house for less. Carriage Glen is the third in that group, built slightly later.
Built 2003 to 2005.
Consistent all the way through.
