Living in The Arbours
The Arbours is one of the better addresses in Williamstown, in Monroe Township, Gloucester County. The detached homes here were built between 2000 and 2002 along Tamarind Place, Mulberry Lane and Sassafras Lane — the streets are named for trees, which is the theme running through the whole development.
The housing is consistent and substantial. Four bedrooms is the standard here, with fives in the mix, colonials predominantly alongside craftsman and contemporary elevations, full basements and attached garages throughout, and two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half baths. Lots run around a quarter acre with public water and sewer. Recent sales in The Arbours sit at the upper end of what Williamstown trades for, and the community holds that position consistently rather than on the odd standout house.
Two things worth knowing. First, The Arbours is a development, not just a street — Amberleigh at the Arbours is the newer condo and townhome section inside it, built roughly a decade later, and Glen Eyre at the Arbours is another. If low-maintenance living rather than a detached house is the goal, those are where to look. Second, you will see the name spelled both “Arbours” and “Arbors” depending on the listing — same development either way.
