Newbury Farms Homes for Sale
An established late-1970s community in Monroe Township — explore the latest from the MLS.
Living in Newbury Farms
Newbury Farms was built from 1976 to 1979 in Williamstown, Monroe Township, on North and South Beecham Road, Micawber Drive, Thackeray Lane, London Circle, Greenwich Court, Hampton Way, Avery Drive and Miracle Drive. Three to five bedrooms, one to three baths, quarter-acre lots on average with some running larger. Public water and sewer. Garages and basements both vary from one home to the next rather than coming standard.
The street names are worth a second look — Micawber comes straight out of Dickens, Thackeray was his contemporary, and London, Greenwich and Hampton fill out the rest. Somebody in 1976 had a theme and stuck to it.
There is a pattern here that is genuinely useful. The ranch homes in Newbury Farms sit at the lower end of the community’s range and the colonials and bi-levels at the upper end, and the separation is clean. That is not automatic — Green Meadows has the same mix of styles from the same era and far less spread between them. In Newbury Farms, knowing which style a home is tells you a good deal about where it will land before you look at anything else.
For single-level living specifically, the ranches here are among the more accessible in the township — Coventry Glen and Kimberly West are the other places to look, and Forest Hills is the large community of the same period.
Thackeray. Longfellow.
