Hunters Chase Homes for Sale
Turn-of-the-2000s homes in Washington Township — explore the latest live from the MLS.
Living in Hunters Chase
Hunters Chase was built at the turn of the 2000s — 1999 through 2001 — in Washington Township, on the Sewell side. The streets are Moray Lane, Haddock Drive and Tarpon Court. Four bedrooms is the standard, with a five-bedroom or two, two to four baths, colonials, traditionals and contemporaries. Garages and full basements on nearly every home, on public water and public sewer.
This is one of the newer established communities in the township, which matters more than it sounds. Most of Washington Township was built between 1965 and 1990, so a house here is twenty to thirty years younger than the typical listing in this market — modern layouts, modern systems, and a roof that has been replaced once rather than three times. That gap is a real part of why this address sits where it does.
The lots run from a bit under a third of an acre to nearly half, which is solid ground for a planned community here, though short of what Holly Grove and Henley offer a few minutes away. Hunters Chase sits in the tier just below those — the same category as Bateman Farms, which is a few years older on similar parcels.
One detail worth a question: Hunters Chase carries an association fee. That is unusual for detached single-family homes in this township — most of the comparable communities have none at all — and what it covers is not spelled out consistently across listings. Ask on the specific address rather than assuming it is nominal, and ask what it entitles you to.
Not much comes up here. This is a small community where the original and second owners have largely stayed, so when a home does list it draws the buyers who have been watching this end of the township. Schools are Washington Township for the entire township, which means Washington Township High School — one district throughout, so there is no sending-district question here. The recently sold homes are the best read on where this part of the market sits.
