Scotland Run Homes for Sale
An established late-1980s community in Monroe Township — explore the latest from the MLS.
Living in Scotland Run
Scotland Run was built from 1986 to 1992, most of it in 1988, in Williamstown, Monroe Township. The streets read like a map of Scotland — Inverness Road, Aberdeen Road and Court, Glasgow Road, Falkirk Road, Dundee Drive, Kirkwall Drive, Galloway Court, Lomond Road and Lorne Court, with Queen Anne Drive alongside. Three to five bedrooms, one to three and a half baths, public water and sewer.
This is one of the larger communities in the township and one of the more varied. Colonials dominate, with split levels, traditionals, Cape Cods and contemporaries throughout. Garages and basements are on most homes here but neither is standard — you will find both kinds on the same street.
The land is where Scotland Run gets genuinely inconsistent, and it matters. Lots run from roughly a fifth of an acre to better than half, and the pattern does not follow the streets in any way you could predict from a map. Two houses of similar size and vintage can sit on very different parcels. In a community this size that is easy to miss, and it is one of the larger sources of variation in what homes are worth here.
For comparison, Schoolhouse Gate is the next decade’s version of the same idea with basements standard, and Forest Hills is the large established community from the decade before.
