Schoolhouse Gate Homes for Sale
A late-1990s community in Monroe Township — explore the latest from the MLS.
Living in Schoolhouse Gate
Schoolhouse Gate was built from 1996 to 1999 in Williamstown, Monroe Township, on School House Road, School House Court and Campus Drive. Three and four bedrooms, two to three baths, garages and full basements standard on every home, lots running from about three-tenths of an acre up toward half. Public water and sewer.
The style mix here is wider than the era usually allows. Colonials dominate, but there are Cape Cods and ranches in Schoolhouse Gate as well — and unlike the 1970s communities that offered similar variety, these all come with the basement and the garage. Green Meadows gives you the range without either; the 2000s communities give you both without much range. This one does both at once, which makes it worth a look if the standard four-bedroom colonial is not quite what you are after.
On land, Schoolhouse Gate sits in a useful middle. More ground than Candlewood or Chestnut Green, less than Hunter Woods, which is the community it most closely resembles in age and specification.
One small thing that costs people listings: the community is spelled as one word and the street as three. Schoolhouse Gate, School House Road. Search one way and you can miss what is filed the other way.
Basement. Garage. Standard.
