The Preserves Homes for Sale
A small late-1990s community in Monroe Township — explore the latest live from the MLS.
Living in The Preserves
The Preserves is a small community built at the end of the 1990s in Williamstown, Monroe Township, on Josie Court and Mills Lane. Three and four bedrooms, two full baths and a half, colonials throughout. Garages and full basements on every home, with public water and public sewer.
The lots are the reason to pay attention. They run from roughly a quarter acre to a third, which puts The Preserves toward the larger end of what Williamstown offers in a planned community rather than on a country road. For a township where a lot of the 1980s inventory sits on a fifth of an acre, that is a meaningful difference in the back yard, and it holds up reasonably well across the handful of addresses here.
Be aware that this is a genuinely small community — a few homes, not a few hundred. Very little comes up for sale in any given year, and when something does list it is often the only thing available here for a long stretch. If The Preserves is specifically where you want to be, it is worth being set up to hear about a listing early rather than checking back and finding it gone.
The natural comparisons in town are Tall Oaks, built in the same stretch with the same garage-and-basement standard on half-acre lots, and Stockton Run, which came a few years later. Hunter Woods and Schoolhouse Gate round out the established four-bedroom communities. Schools are Monroe Township for the whole township, which means Williamstown High School — one district, no sending-district question to sort out.
