Cherrybrook Homes for Sale
Mid-eighties four-bedroom colonials off Cropwell Road, backing open green space — live from the MLS.
Living in Cherrybrook
Cherrybrook is a detached neighborhood in the 08003 section of Cherry Hill Township, laid out off Cropwell Road on Longstone Drive, Balfield Terrace, Brompton Place, Dalton Terrace, Crestbrook Avenue and Downing Street. No association, no gate, houses on their own lots.
The build window is the fact that shapes everything here. Cherrybrook went up in 1985 and 1986 — two years, start to finish — which is why the houses look like each other and why the neighborhood reads as a single coherent place rather than a patchwork. It also puts this one a full generation newer than most of Cherry Hill's detached inventory. Ceiling heights, kitchen layouts, bathroom counts and primary-suite sizes all reflect mid-eighties expectations rather than mid-century ones, and buyers touring both usually feel the difference before anyone points it out.
The housing is consistent to the point of being predictable, which is the appeal. Four bedrooms with two-and-a-half baths is the standard here, not the upgrade, and Colonial is the dominant form with Contemporary plans alongside it. Basements and garages throughout. What varies from house to house is the lot rather than the layout — and that is where the eastern streets earn their premium.
Look at the neighborhood from above and a wide band of open green ground runs right through the middle of it, past Crestbrook and along Downing. Houses on that side have a rear boundary that ends at grass and trees instead of somebody's fence, plus forty years of canopy that has filled in since the last house was finished. Ask which side of that corridor an address sits on, because it is the single biggest difference between two otherwise identical houses here.
One name to sort out. The MLS carries both Cherrybrook and Cherrybrook East, so a portal search for one can return a partial picture — this page pulls the neighborhood rather than the spelling. And do not confuse this with Cherry Valley, which is a 1960 neighborhood at the other end of the township in 08002. Two names one letter apart, twenty-five years and four miles between them.
Buyers working this tier and this vintage in 08003 generally also walk Kresson Woods and Fox Hollow Woods before deciding, and Chanticleer sits just up Cropwell Road if attached product is worth a look. Schools are Cherry Hill Township Public Schools, with Cherry Hill High School East across the addresses in this pull — a settled answer here, unlike several neighborhoods west of it where the East and West line runs through the streets. Kresson Road and Route 70 are both minutes out, and the Turnpike interchange is close on the eastern side. The recently sold homes across the township are the clearest read on where eighties stock actually settles.
