1987 two-bedroom units and lofts on wooded grounds off Haddonfield-Berlin Road — live from the MLS.
Tavistock is one of the largest condominium communities in the 08034 section of Cherry Hill Township, set back off Haddonfield-Berlin Road on wooded grounds along Tindale Run. Addresses run along Tavistock Road, Tavistock Court and Ponds Court — garden buildings of one to four floors grouped around interior parking, with a pool, tennis courts and a fitness center on site and a pond at the center of the property.
The complex went up essentially all at once. Nearly every unit here dates to 1987, which places Tavistock in the late-eighties wave rather than the seventies townhouse era, and the product is consistent with it: two bedrooms, two full baths or two-and-a-half, roughly 1,000 to 1,100 square feet, with in-unit laundry hookups and central air. Style designations bounce between Contemporary, Traditional and Colonial, which tells you more about listing habits than about the buildings.
What genuinely varies is the layout. Alongside the single-level flats there is a real loft tier — two-story units with an interior staircase and an upper living area, some with their own balcony off it, running up to about 1,100 square feet with a one-bedroom-plus-loft configuration. Those live very differently from the flats at a similar size, and a buyer who wants one should ask for it by name rather than filtering on bedroom count. A handful of units also carry shared frontage on the pond, which is the only water access in any Cherry Hill condo community.
Now the two things that matter most before you make an offer here, and both require a phone call rather than a listing sheet. First, the fee. Some units carry a fee covering ground fees, common area and exterior building maintenance, snow removal, the pool and health club access; others carry a different fee with a narrower stated inclusion list. Those are meaningfully different arrangements inside one complex, and two units a building apart can have different costs and different coverage. Second, the ownership interest. Records in this community appear both as condominium and as fee simple, which is not a cosmetic distinction — it affects what you own, what the association controls, and how a lender treats the file. Confirm both on the specific unit.
Amenities across the community are strong for the size: outdoor pool, tennis courts, fitness center, exercise room, clubhouse, common grounds and assigned parking. That puts Tavistock among the better-equipped complexes in the township, alongside Kings Croft and Society Hill, and ahead of the newer but amenity-free Regency Court. The wider Cherry Hill condo market is where the full comparison sits, and Tavistock's depth of inventory is its practical edge — it is one of the few communities here where a buyer usually has something to look at.
The school record is unusually complete. Listings carry Cherry Hill High School West, John A. Carusi Middle School and A. Russell Knight Elementary. A stray East appears on at least one record, so verify the specific unit, but West is the pattern across the community. In a township where that question is the first one asked, having the middle and elementary named as well is worth more than most buyers realize.
Location is the quiet strength. Haddonfield-Berlin Road runs you into downtown Haddonfield in a couple of minutes — genuinely close, which is unusual for a Cherry Hill condo — with Kresson Road, Brace Road and the Route 70 corridor all a short drive, and PATCO connections for the Philadelphia commute. Kresson Woods and Hunt Tract sit just north across Kresson Road. The recently sold homes across the township are the clearest read on where this tier actually settles.

There's more than one.
