Washington Place Condos for Sale
Affordable condo ownership in Washington Township — explore the latest live from the MLS.
Living in Washington Place
Washington Place was built in the mid to late 1980s in Washington Township, on the Sewell side. The courts are English — Windsor, Chelsea, Harrogate, Canterbury, Neville and Pickwick. Two bedrooms and two baths is the configuration on essentially every unit here, mostly flats with a few interior row homes. No garages, no basements.
The uniformity is the defining feature. One build window, one floor plan, one bedroom count — which makes this an easy community to price and an easy one to compare within. Recent sales cluster in a narrow band, and what separates one unit from another is condition and which court it sits on, not size or vintage.
The question to settle before you buy is what the association fee covers on that specific unit, because it is not consistent across the community. Some units at Washington Place carry an all-ground fee with common area and exterior building maintenance; others show common area and lawn care only; some include the pool. On buildings approaching forty years old, whether the roof and siding sit inside the fee or land later as an assessment is the real difference between two units listed at the same price.
Also worth checking: the sewer arrangement is not uniform here. Most of the community is on public sewer, but a couple of addresses on Harrogate Court show something else — one private, one septic. Inside a single condo association that is unusual enough to ask about directly.
One naming note: Canterbury Court is a street inside Washington Place, while Canterbury Mews is a separate condo community elsewhere in the township. A search on the name returns both.
The other attached options here are Hunt Club and Peachtree, both larger and busier, The Meadows at the affordable end, and Parkwood Manor if you want a garage. Schools are Washington Township throughout — Washington Township High School, one district for the whole township. The recently sold homes show where it sits.
